The 2026 Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks free concert series in Bethlehem, PA, features over 50 free outdoor performances from May 15 through September 12, 2026. The SteelStacks embrace cultural and artistic growth while recognizing the areas industrial past. For this project, I set out to create a poster that originated from a hand-carved linocut stamp that I digitally recolored. I felt as though the rough, hand-carved nature of the stamp would lend itself well to the industrial past of Bethlehem Steel.
Poster Design Process
Linocut is a printmaking technique where an artist carves a design into a sheet of linoleum using sharp tools. The raised (uncarved) areas are rolled with ink, then pressed onto paper or fabric to create a print.
